THE ROLE
We're looking for our first Business Development Specialist to help us grow from 6 weddings a year to 50+. This isn't just a sales job — you'll be building the foundation of how Statua acquires clients and partners with wedding vendors across Bengaluru and beyond.
If you're someone who loves connecting with people, building relationships from scratch, and getting excited when you convert a lead into a booking, this role is for you.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
1. Lead Generation
Generate 10-15 qualified wedding inquiries per month through cold outreach, social media engagement, and creative prospecting
Identify and reach out to couples planning weddings via Instagram, wedding forums, LinkedIn, and referral networks
Qualify leads by understanding wedding dates, budget, event details, and photography needs
Respond to inbound inquiries on Instagram, WhatsApp, and email within 2 hours
Follow up persistently but politely with warm leads until they convert or decline
2. Vendor Partnerships (30% of your time)
Build relationships with wedding planners, makeup artists, decorators, venues, and other vendors in Bengaluru
Pitch partnership opportunities (referral agreements, preferred vendor listings, collaborative marketing)
Negotiate mutually beneficial arrangements that generate consistent wedding bookings
Attend vendor networking events, wedding expos, and industry meetups (weekends may be required)
Maintain a database of 50+ active vendor relationships
3. Sales & Closing (20% of your time)
Present tailored wedding photography packages to couples based on their needs and budget
Handle pricing discussions, objections, and negotiations professionally
Close bookings and secure advance payments
Coordinate with the founder on package customization and special requests
Track conversion rates, pipeline health, and monthly targets in CRM
WHO YOU ARE
Must-Haves:
1-2 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, or customer-facing roles
Based in Bengaluru
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable with cold calling, cold messaging, and reaching out to strangers
Self-starter who can work independently without constant supervision
Basic familiarity with CRM tools, Google Sheets, Instagram, LinkedIn
Willing to work some weekends for networking events (with weekday offs)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
Base Salary: ₹30,000 - ₹35,000/month
Based on experience and interview performance
Monthly payout
Profit Sharing:
Earn 10-15% of profit on every wedding you close
Example: If you close a ₹3.5L wedding with ₹1L profit, you earn an additional ₹10-15K
Paid quarterly after project delivery
